Andrea Peña is a Colombian-Canadian choreographer and designer and the founder and artistic director of Andrea Peña & Artists (AP&A), an interdisciplinary contemporary dance company based in Montréal. Her work explores the body as both material and agent through immersive choreographic environments that merge movement, scenography, and sound.
Through Andrea Peña & Artists, Peña has developed works including REPLICA, BOGOTÁ, UAQUE, and 6.58: MANIFESTO, which have been presented internationally across Europe and the Americas. Her practice engages questions of hybridity, collectivity, and the relationship between the body and constructed systems.
Andrea Peña is the recipient of the CHANEL Next Prize and has been recognized within the international contemporary dance landscape through presentations and collaborations connected to major cultural platforms including the Venice Biennale Danza.
